James Doohan at the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Actor James Doohan (in wheelchair) receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 31, 2004. Doohan played engineer Montgomery 'Scotty' Scott on the TV series Star Trek from 1966-69 and in many subsequent movies. He is surrounded by, from left: Grace Lee Whtiney, Barbara Luna, Johnny Grant, Wendee Doohan, Sarah Doohan, Walter Koenig, George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. Doohan was born in 1920, so he turned 84 the year this photo was taken. He died less than a year after this photo was taken, on July 20, 2005.
