James McCourt Biography
James McCourt is a British television personality, perhaps best known as a presenter for the Disney Channel’s Studio Disney program. McCourt got into broadcasting early, producing programming for a local hospital while still a teen. He also was part of the short-lived pop band In 2 Deep early in the 1990s. In 1998 he became a regular on the daily afternoon show Studio Disney, remaining on the job until 2001. He has since taken various roles as a television and radio presenter and voice-over actor. In 2004 he began presenting the National Lottery drawings on BBC1. McCourt’s brother Richard is also a TV personality who has presented for the BBC’s children’s network, the CBBC, and is part of the comedy pairing Dick and Dom.

McCourt is no relation to James McCourt, the author of Mawrdew Czgowchwz and Delancey’s Way… McCourt once joked to Bid Mag about his band In 2 Deep, “We weren’t that good to be honest but got quite a bit of coverage because of our Tartan trousers.”
