Facts about Jeremy Renner
Jeremy Renner Biography
Jeremy Renner starred in the 2009 film The Hurt Locker and won an Oscar nomination as best actor. Renner grew up in central California and did mostly stage work before coming to films and television. His turn as 1990s serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the 2002 movie Dahmer earned him critical raves and new job prospects, but his film career didn’t really take off until the late 2000s. That’s when he got noticeable roles in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007, starring Brad Pitt) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). He starred in the short-lived 2009 series The Unusuals, but it was his command of the screen in The Hurt Locker that made him a star. He was again Oscar-nominated for his role as a Boston bank robber in the 2010 film The Town.
