Josh Hutcherson Biography
Now known as Peeta from the movie The Hunger Games, Josh Hutcherson has been playing boy-next-door characters on TV and in the movies since he began his career in 2002 at the age of 9. With no theater experience, he began auditioning for television roles, and within less than two years Hutcherson was playing a major role in the TV movie Wilder Days (2003). Then came leading roles in Little Manhattan (2005, co-starring Cynthia Nixon) and Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005, with Kristen Stewart), followed by co-starring roles in the adventures Bridge to Terabithia (2007) and the 2008 version of Journey to the Center of the Earth (and its 2012 sequel). By the time he was cast with Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth in The Hunger Games, Hutcherson was a screen veteran with more than a dozen feature films to his credit. His other films include RV (2006, starring Robin Williams), The Kids Are All Right (2010, with Mia Wasikowska) and the remake of Red Dawn (2012, co-starring Liam Hemsworth’s brother, Chris Hemsworth).
