The original caption for this photo identifies it as being "at a Hollywood party circa 1940." If 1940 is correct, it was the year that Judy Garland turned 18 and Mickey Rooney turned 20. That was also the year they made the film Andy Hardy Meets Debutante with Rutherford; it was Garland and Rooney's fourth film together.
