Facts about Kate Moss
Kate Moss Biography
Kate Moss was the star of a series of provocative Calvin Klein ads which began running in 1992. Her extra-slender figure and blank gaze became a fashion model trend, often called the “waif look” (and sometimes criticized by those who felt it promoted an unhealthy body image). Kate Moss became one of the most popular models of the 1990s, appearing in hundreds of magazine spreads and in popular ads for Klein and Versace among others. She also gained a reputation for a tempestuous personal life, culminating in her visit to a London rehabilitation clinic in 1998 and then a further brouhaha in 2005 when the Daily Mirror newspaper photographed her allegedly sniffing cocaine in a London music studio. She married Jamie Hince, guitarist for the band The Kills, in July of 2011.
