Katherine Heigl Biography
Actress Katherine Heigl is known for her dramatic role on TV’s Grey’s Anatomy and her comic role in the feature film Knocked Up (2007, opposite Seth Rogen). A model and actress since childhood, she’s worked steadily since her breakout role as the precocious daughter in My Father the Hero (1994). Experienced in a variety of genres, Heigl’s notable film roles include Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995), Bride of Chucky (1998, starring Jennifer Tilly) and The Ringer (2005), as well as the romantic comedies 27 Dresses (2008), The Ugly Truth (2009) and Life As We Know It (2010). She’s also known to TV viewers for the movies Love Comes Softly (2003) and Love’s Enduring Promise (2004), for her three seasons as a teenage alien in Roswell (1999-2002), and for her 5 years as Dr. Izzie Stevens in the series Grey’s Anatomy (Heigl left the show in 2005).

Heigl married scruffy singer/songwriter Josh Kelley on 23 December 2007; the pair met when Heigl appeared in Kelley’s 2005 music video for the song “Only You”… The couple adopted a special needs child from Korea in 2009 named Naleigh.
