King Solomon looks over the plans for his temple

King Solomon reviews the plans for his magnificent temple -- or at least, that's how the scene was imagined in this 1896 work from the Providence Lithograph Company. Surrounding Solomon are his wise men, plus the usual court hangers-on. Solomon was seven years in building the temple, according to I Kings, chapter 6, verse 38.
