Luke Perry Biography

After a short time on the daytime soap opera Another World, Luke Perry landed a starring role in the 1990 TV drama Beverly Hills 90210 and became a teen idol.

During the first three years of the show, Perry hit peak celebrity as Dylan McKay, cool surfer boyfriend to Shannen Doherty’s Brenda Walsh. He left the show after six seasons, but returned for the end of the show in 2000.

Although Perry never had a hit like Beverly Hills 90210 again, he continued working in television, including in the series Oz (2001-02) and Riverdale (2016-19).

His feature film credits include the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), 8 Seconds (1994) and The Fifth Element (1997, starring Bruce Willis). His last film was Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
