Moxley was 15 years old when she was beaten to death in an affluent section of Greenwich, Connecticut in October of 1975. The murder went unsolved for over 25 years until Michael Skakel was convicted of her killing in 2002. Skakel had been a teenaged neighbor and friend of the Moxley family at the time of Martha Moxley's death, and was also a relative of the Kennedy political family.
