Mary Schmich

A photo of Mary Schmich, longtime columnist for the Chicago Tribune.  Schmich began writing her Tribune column in 1992; 20 years later, she won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for commentary.

A multi-tasker, Schmich also wrote the comic strip Brenda Starr from 1985 until the strip's demise in 2011.
