Max Von Sydow in ‘The Exorcist’

Max von Sydow (left), as Father Lankester Merrin, makes the sign of the cross over possessed girl Regan in the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist. The film was directed by William Friedkin and ushered in an era of all kinds of devilish horror films. Things don't end well for Father Merkin (spoiler!) but things look better for Regan.
