This was at the Four Seasons Hotel, where Flatley was being awarded the Variety Club of Ireland award for entertainer of the decade. Flatley is second from left in this photo, in case that wasn't clear. Flatley was being honored for his immense impact on the popularity of Irish dance through his appearances in shows like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance -- although, ironically, Flatley is not himself Irish, having been born in Chicago. His parents, however, were immigrants from County Sligo.
