Michael Flatley goes all ‘Gladiator’

"Irish Dance King Michael Flatley treated his parents and some of his best friends to a performance of his show 'Celtic Tiger' at the RDS," reads the caption to this photo from our friends at WENN. The RDS is an arena in Dublin, Ireland, and the date was June 3, 2006. Michael Flatley was born in 1958, so he turned 48 that year -- pushing 50, as they say. One wonders if that explains the creative choice to put a large Roman-style breastplate over his aging torso, which was possibly -- just possibly, mind you -- stouter than in his salad days.
