Michael Jackson wears a gilded pair of knee and shin guards, of the type normally worn by baseball catchers. The occasion for this amusing sartorial choice was the recording of Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Special, which aired on CBS on November 13, 2001. His right hand is not, however, signaling for a fastball.
