Naveen Andrews Biography
English actor Naveen Andrews is best known to television audiences as Sayid, the savvy Iraqi in the series Lost (2004-10). He grew up in London and studied drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After appearing in several stage productions, Andrews made his film debut in London Kills M (1991, directed by Hanif Kureishi). His big break came with the role of Kip, the sexy, hair-washing flame of Juliet Binoche‘s character in The English Patient (1996, also starring Kristin Scott Thomas). Since then he has appeared in several television and film productions, and his role in Lost catapulted him to fame in both England and in the U.S., where he now makes his home. His other movies include Mighty Joe Young (1998, with Charlize Theron), Drowning on Dry Land (1999, with actress Barbara Hershey, who was his real-life girlfriend until 2010) and Rollerball (2002, with Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) and Bride and Prejudice (2005).

Andrews and Hershey began dating after they met on the set of Drowning on Dry Land… Andrews moved out of his troubled home as a teen and moved in with his married math teacher, Geraldine Feakins. He and Feakins began an affair; their son, Jaisal, was born in 1992… Andrews also has a son, Naveen, born to actress Elena Eustache in 2006; Naveen had an affair with Eustache during a break in his relationship with Hershey.
