Facts about Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon Biography
Nick Cannon is a comedian, rapper, actor and TV executive, known as the host of Wild N’ Out (2005-present), America’s Got Talent (2009-16) and The Masked Singer (2019-21).
Cannon is also famous for his 2008 marriage to singer Mariah Carey — and for a public beef with Eminem because of the marriage. Cannon’s feud with Eminem lasted longer than his marriage to Carey.
Cannon got his start as a stand-up comedian in San Diego, and early in his career he was cast in the lead role of the movie Drumline (2002).
Cannon then latched onto young adult programming with Nickelodeon and MTV, and started a rap career. By 2002 he had a record contract, his own show on Nickelodeon and plenty of experience in TV production.
By the time he was 30, Cannon was in charge of his own TV network, TeenNick, and hosting America’s Got Talent and married to one of the most popular singers in the world.
Cannon and Carey divorced in 2016, and Cannon has continued to get involved in music and television production, both as a performer and an executive.
