Paul Newman looks at a weird old lamp

Of all the things a movie star might be asked to do in public, is examining a weird old lamp one of the worst things or one of the better things? We aren't sure. Nonetheless, here is Paul Newman being asked to do exactly that as part of something called "Serious Fun Day" at Barretstown Castle Grounds in Dublin, Ireland. The date was September 5, 2004. Paul Newman was born in 1925, so he turned 79 the year this photo was taken. Alas, he passed away four years later, in 2008. But at least he got to see this lamp before he passed!
