Peter Bogdanovich at… the ESPYs?

Yes, this is filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich at the 2004 ESPY Awards. One may not normally think of the Oscar-nominated director of The Last Picture Show as a sports guy, but in this case it makes sense: that same year, Bogdanovich directed the film Hustle, which starred Tom Sizemore as disgraced baseball hero Pete Rose. (Rose's nickname was 'Charlie Hustle.') The movie was produced by ESPN Films, so naturally you get Peter Bogdanovich at the ESPYs.
