Smiles are more or less required when the royal family of Monaco does its bit for the local circus industry at the annual Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo. Here Princess Stephanie gets most of the way to a smile at the 31st edition of the festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco on January 20, 2007. Presumably she is not blinking out an SOS, hostage-style, not with a clown looming directly behind her. The football-style scarves are a fixture of the annual photo op, and we must note that the fabric looks quite lovely.
