Princess Stephanie hugs a ringmaster, we hope

Princess Stephanie of Monaco accepts a big hug from an unidentified circus person -- hopefully a handsome ringmaster and not a creepy clown -- at the 30th anniversary of the annual Monte Carlo Circus Festival. Kudos to Princess Stephanie for being a good sport about it all. Try hugging King Charles like that and see where it gets you. (Gets you hustled into the dock at the Old Bailey, that's what. Don't try it.)

This all happened in Monte Carlo on January 21, 2006. The anniversary event was said to include "some of best award-winning acts seen throughout the lifetime of the festival." The French name for the event, which continues to this day, is the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo.
