Facts about Ronan Farrow
Ronan Farrow Biography
Ronan Farrow is a TV personality and journalist who is the son of actress Mia Farrow and filmmaker Woody Allen.
A graduate of Yale Law School, Farrow was admitted to the New York Bar in 2009, but went to work for UNICEF, with a focus on fundraising for Africa. He spent the next few years working as a journalist and activist with high-level connections, but his celebrity status didn’t really take off until 2013, when his mother hinted that his real biological father might be one of her ex-husbands, singer Frank Sinatra, even though she and Allen had been in a relationship at the time of Ronan’s birth.
Ronan Farrow then participated in the public feud between Farrow and Allen, siding with Farrow and calling Allen’s marriage to Ronan’s adopted sister, Soon Yi, a “moral transgression.” His emergence in the gossip sheets coincided with a new deal as a TV host on Ronan Farrow Daily, a news and opinion program on MSNBC that ran from February 2014 to February 2015.
Farrow was back in the news in 2017, when he published a story in The New Yorker accusing movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of “ongoing predatory behavior towards women.” In the wake of that story, which had also been reported a few days earlier in The New York Times, Weinstein was fired from his own business, The Weinstein Company.
