Shirley Chisholm greets Bill Clinton

President Bill Clinton (left) greets Shirley Chisholm in the White House on July 30, 1993. Clinton nominated Chisholm that year to be ambassador to Jamaica, but she later withdrew her name due to declining health. Shirley Chisholm was born in 1924, so she turned 69 the year this photo was taken.
