Sir Edmund Hillary

The state funeral held in Auckland, New Zealand for explorer Sir Edmund Percival Hillary, attended by the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Helen Elizabeth Clark. Edmund Hillary was born to Percival Augustus Hillary and Gertrude Hillary, in Auckland, on July 20, 1919 and was the first man to conquer Mount Everest on 29th May 1953 and survive to tell his story.
