Stephen Curry Biography
Stephen “Steph” Curry is a basketball player for the Golden State Warriors, a smooth-shooting point guard who in 2015 was named the Most Valuable Player of the National Basketball Association (NBA). His father is former NBA player Dell Curry, and Steph grew up mostly in Charlotte, North Carolina. A standout at Davidson College in North Carolina, Curry was drafted by Golden State in 2009. He quickly became known as a mid- and long-range shooter, and in the 2012-13 season Curry set an NBA record with 272 shots made from three-point range. He broke his own record in the 2014-15 season with 286 3-pointers, and that season he led the Warriors to a national championship.
