Cesar Romero as The Joker

Cesar Romero plays The Joker in the 1960s TV series Batman. The spoofy action show, with Adam West as Batman, aired on ABC from 1966-68, and had a long life in syndicated reruns. The Joker, a nutso agent of criminal chaos, was one of Batman's most regular antagonists and a favorite villain with viewers. Romero refused to shave his mustache for the role, and the resulting fuzz beneath the white makeup can be seen clearly in this photo.
