Traveller

A photo of the horse Traveller and his famous rider, Gen. Robert E. Lee, in 1866.  That was the year after the Civil War ended with Lee's surrender to Union General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House.  Lee took Traveller into retirement with him, and they are buried near each other on the campus of Washington and Lee University.
