Kirk and Uhuru kiss

Uhuru (played by Nichelle Nichols, left) kisses Captain Kirk (William Shatner) in an episode of Star Trek from the 1960s. The moment has been celebrated as among the first interracial kisses to be broadcast on network television. The episode, titled "Plato's Children," was broadcast on NBC on November 22, 1968.
