Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer will enjoy these videos of a live performance of the musical episode, “Once More With Feeling.”
That’s the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, of course. The show ran from 1997 to 2003 and starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as a demon-slaying teenager. It was a breakthrough for Joss Whedon, who adapted his movie screenplay into a series.
Whedon already had a successful career as a writer. He’d written for the hit show Roseanne, and had already done a few films, including the screenplay for Toy Story, for petessakes. But after Buffy, Whedon became a guy who created his own shows. And now he’s directing big-time blockbusters like The Avengers.
“Once More With Feeling” was the seventh episode of the sixth season of Buffy. Whedon wrote the musical episode, and it quickly became a favorite among fans. At the Hackney Picture House in London on Halloween night, the episode was performed live by Kate Nash and Emmy the Great. You can see many of the videos right here at Bleeding Cool.
