She was the first woman to have a top hit in country music. Now Kitty Wells has died in Nashville at the age of 92.
Kitty Wells had more than a dozen top ten hits, but she’s probably best known for her 1952 single, “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.”
