Aviator Steve Fossett is still missing in Nevada, and the headlines are getting grimmer.
On the less grim side, The New York Times has a lively feature (free registration required) about the Flying M Ranch, from which Fossett took off. It’s owned by Barron Hilton, grandfather of Paris Hilton and son of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton.
The Reno Gazette-Journal notes casually that the million-acre ranch is “about the size of Rhode Island.”
