Punxsutawney Phil, the “weather-predicting” groundhog who lives in a “tree stump” on “Gobbler’s Knob,” has done “it” again in 2021. He “saw his shadow,” was “frightened,” and thereby “predicted” six more weeks of winter. Hooray!

[ Disclaimer: There is no evidence that Punxsutawney Phil sees, observes, or is discomfited by, his shadow. There is no evidence that the actions of a groundhog can contribute to the prediction of, or creation of, long-term local or national weather patterns. There is no evidence that Punxsutawney Phil actually drinks an “elixir of life” or is over 100 years old. There is no evidence that Punsutawney Phil actually lives in a tree stump in a place called Gobbler’s Knob. There is no evidence that Punxsutawney Phil writes poetry. Phil is, plainly, a groundhog, nothing more or less. Isn’t that wonderful enough? ]
