It’s shameful, but we appear to be experiencing Tiger Woods schadenfreude.
He doesn’t really deserve our “misfortune joy” — who does? — though his own schadenFräulein seem to be causing the problem.
The latest: US magazine claims a 24-year-old named Jaimee Grubbs has been having an affair with Tiger since April of 2007. (“A steamy 31-month fling” is what US calls it, being chronologically precise.) The magazine even has an awkward voicemail it claims is from Tiger to Grubbs.
The NY Daily News is on the case, right down to the pick-up line:
Grubbs says her romance with Woods began when the duffer tapped her on the shoulder and said, “You don’t look like you’re having any fun.”
“Duffer,” Daily News? That’s taking schadenfreude just a little too far.
