Actress Lynn Redgrave has died at age 67.
No official cause of death has been given, but her children said in an announcement that Lynn Redgrave “passed away peacefully after a seven year journey with breast cancer.” Redgrave underwent a mastectomy in 2003.
Redgrave was the sister of actress Vanessa Redgrave. Their brother Corin Redgrave died last month. Lynn Redgrave was also the aunt of actress Natasha Richardson, who died just over a year ago after a skiing accident.
Lynn Redgrave moved easily between movies, TV, and the stage. She starred onstage in New York last year in the one-woman show Nightingale. (That’s her at left above, on opening night with her daughter, Annabel Clark.)
Redgrave’s first film role was in the 1963 Oscar-winner Tom Jones; according to the IMDB, her last role was a guest-starring spot on Ugly Betty last year.
Here’s how she looked back in the day, at left (with Rita Tushingham) in the 1964 film Girl With Green Eyes.
The Times of London has her obituary.
