We’ve just posted a new profile of actress Mackenzie Phillips.
You may remember her as scrawny li’l Carol from One Day at a Time, but now she’s in the news for some rather far-out comments about her dad.
Reading up on Phillips led us to her ODAAT co-star, Valerie Bertinelli, which in turn led us to catch up on Bertinelli’s ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen. And that led us to this choice nugget from his entry in Wikipedia:
In December 2004, Eddie attended “Dimebag” Darrell Lance Abbott’s funeral, and donated the black and yellow guitar featured on the Van Halen II album inlay, stating that it was always a favorite of Dimebag’s. The guitar was put in Darrell’s Kiss Kasket, and he was buried with it.
What’s a Kiss Kasket, you ask? It’s a true-life item that used to be sold by the band.
Wow.
Not quite enough for you? Try drinking yourself into the box with KISS Destroyer Cabernet at $72 a bottle.
