Just last weekend rock ‘n’ tabloid star Courtney Love lost legal custody of Frances Bean Cobain, her 17 year-old daughter by Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain.
Custody went to members of Kurt’s surviving family (he killed himself in 1994).
Now a judge has issued a temporary order barring Courtney Love from contacting Frances or her new guardians.
Courtney Love ranted on her Facebook page about losing custody earlier in the week. According to the gossips, Cobain’s family has been trying to get custody of Frances for years. They say Courtney Love is an unstable parent.
Courtney, on the other hand, thinks Frances is “deluded” about her dad’s family. Courtney thinks the family will exploit her daughter, suggesting they would turn into a Jamie Lynn Spears (we’re not quite sure what that means, but we figure it includes getting pregnant pretty soon).
One of her posts on Facebook includes the line “god the very thing that killed him [Kurt], his daughter goes and runs to…” — but does that mean his family? Does it mean heroin? A shotgun?
Here’s the report from E! Online.
And, for Courtney Love fans, here’s an essay, "Why Courtney Love Was Kurt Cobain’s Lyrical Equal".
