How popular is she still?
A rubber eraser she used as a child sold for 540 pounds (about $883) at auction in June.
It is believed that the rubber was used by the future Princess of Wales to correct her sums while at boarding school. The item is admittedly hefty, at 5in x 2in, and is adorned with Diana’s maiden name — as well as, in a touch likely to excite the tinfoil-hatted conspirazoid, the handwritten words ‘Bomb’, ‘Beware’ and ‘Help’.
