The lineup is, left to right: guitarist Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (later of the Doobie Brothers, now a missile defense expert), Walter Becker (on bass), David Palmer (the “pretty” front man, later eased out of the band), drummer Jim Hodder, Denny Diaz (in tie-dye, on guitar) and Donald Fagen (keyboard and lead vocals, in proto-Freddie Mercury mode).
The tune is from their 1972 debut album, Can’t Buy a Thrill, which is a great rock album title.
