Serena Williams whipped Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-2 today to win her second Wimbledon in a row and fourth overall.
Serena and her sister Venus have won 9 of the last 11 Wimbledon singles titles. Since the year 2000, only Maria Sharapova (2004) and Amelie Mauresmo (2006) have managed to claim the women’s title. Serena won in 2002, 2003, 2009 and this year.
Impressive.
And this year she also got to meet the Queen.
