Clarence Thomas has now gone five years without asking a question in oral arguments at the Supreme Court.
He’s the only justice in the last 40 years to ask no questions for one year, much less five. He’s standing by his proud statement of a few years back: “One thing I’ve demonstrated often in 16 years is you can do this job without asking a single question.”
