“This is iMac, the whole thing is translucent. You can see into it. It’s so cool!”
Steve Jobs gets a nice tribute today on the Apple front page, with photos from his life and voice clips of his famous new product announcements.
“This amazing little device holds a thousand songs…and it goes right in my pocket.”
The greatest tribute to Steve Jobs is how these products that were miracles just 10 or 15 years ago now look so bulky and old-fashioned. He really made things evolve at top speed.
I will always honor him for Apple’s early user-friendly computers — the Mac Plus and Mac Classic, the Performas, the iMacs — which were the tools of my writing life starting in 1988. They really did change my life.
