For an entertaining — and, by today’s standards, long — documentary about photographing the surface of the moon in 1967, watch Assignment: Shoot the Moon. The film is quaint and a little cheesy, but about eight minutes into it the musical soundtrack gets ultra-groovy, with tablas and electric guitars adding eerie drama to shots of the moon. Overall it’s an informative piece and a video time capsule from the days when they were planning to touch down on the moon.
