Golf legend Arnold Palmer hit the ceremonial opening tee shot which went “out of sight,” according to USA Today. (Fog helped.)
The Masters website has a fine history department, with notes on holes-in-one, tournaments entered (Palmer leads with 50), and hole-by-hole high and low scores (hole #12 leads both categories, with a low of 1 and a high of 13).
