Writer and “psychogeographer” Iain Sinclair pens this tribute — loaded up with big words and big ideas — to the late author J.G. Ballard, titled “Crash: JG Ballard’s Artistic Legacy.”
It’s a good read for fans of Ballard (and for fans of Sinclair, one of whom is author William Gibson), not only because it discusses Ballard’s influence on modern art, but also because it includes fascinating biographical details.
The piece comes from the U.K.’s Guardian, which is also offering this slideshow from an exhibit at London’s Gagosian gallery that “celebrates the explosive cultural impact of late author J.G. Ballard.”
