There seems to be a behind-the-scenes battle going at Wikipedia over Rachel Uchitel, whom The National Enquirer accuses of having an affair with golfer Tiger Woods.
Uchitel had a Wikipedia page earlier, but a visit today at 5:20 pm Eastern time shows this screen instead:
Key line: “This page has been deleted. The deletion and move log for the page are provided below for reference.”
Followed by this note from editor Nancy: “We are not here to repeat National Enquirer rumours.”
Which is admirable, but a little surprising from Wikipedia. I’m curious to see when they will consider a profile appropriate.
